Want to visit a new hiking trail but need a ride? We got you! Join us on a free hike led by one of our experienced and bilingual naturalists, or if you’d prefer you can explore the park on your own.

Family-friendly.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

WHEN:
Bus Arrives at 9:00 AM and will return by 4:00 PM.
Seating is on a first come, first-served basis.

WHERE:
Meet at Pacoima City Hall. We’ll load onto a bus and then head to Topanga Beach.

WHAT TO BRING:
Wear weather-appropriate clothes and comfortable shoes. Pack water, a lunch, snacks, sunblock, a hat, and sunglasses in a backpack. Bring swimwear and a towel if you plan on getting in the water!

Presented by Community Nature Connection in association with Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority and the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, all working to connect you to your public lands!

Do you think about what’s on your plate? Southern California rests on the Pacific Plate and the Santa Monica Mountains are a result of the Earth’s continuous shifting. These mountains have a fascinating origin story that shape how we live our lives today. Enjoy a hike with a park ranger and discover how plates move, mountains lift, get squeezed, and wither away to create the beautiful place we call Southern California.

Meet at the Solstice Canyon parking lot for this is a moderate 2 mile guided hike. All are welcome. Hike begins at 10:00 AM.

Please bring water, sunscreen, a hat, sturdy shoes, and appropriate clothing for the weather.
