Join our resident film enthusiast for a guided hike to view classic film and television locations, and learn the Hollywood history of Franklin Canyon.
Franklin Canyon has been the chosen film location for Hollywood productions since the silent film era. Come and walk in the steps of Andy Griffith, Capt Kirk, and Clark Gable.
Meets outside the Sooky Goldman Nature Center.
Please wear closed toe shoes.

Seating is on a first come, first-served basis.
Meet in the parking lot of Vista Hermosa Natural Park.
We’ll board the bus and then head to King Gillette Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains.
WHAT TO BRING:
Wear weather-appropriate clothes and comfortable shoes. Pack water, a lunch, snacks, sunblock, a hat, and sunglasses in a backpack.

Cold Moon is a term shared by Indigenous People around the world to signify the arrival of Yule, or the onset of cold temperatures of winter.
Full moon hikes are family friendly and approximately 2.5 miles
with a moderate incline.
Please dress in layers for changing temperatures, wear closed toe shoes, and bring water.
