Stop and Smell the Roses with Docent Tom @ Malibu Creek State Park

Tom has been leading spring hikes for years and they’re a great, fun way to explore one of L.A.’s most spectacular parks, Malibu Creek State Park. You’ll learn about the animals, plants and flowers that fill our parkland.
NORTHEAST HIKE – Meet at the park’s West Gate on Crags Road near Malibou Lake at 8:45am. Be cautious of “No Parking” signs, so you’ll need to park a few blocks from the gate off the road. We’ll hike to end of the Lost Cabin Trail, see the base of the Malibou Lake Dam, and return to West Gate.
Each hike is between 3.5-4.5 hours, depending on the pace of the group. Wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring 2 quarts of water, lunch or snacks, a wide brimmed hat and sun screen. Rain cancels. PLEASE RSVP by the Thursday before the hike. Contact Tom at 818-216-7696 or tgkaplan54@gmail.com and be sure to leave your phone number.
