Join Melina Sempill Watts, Author of Tree, for a presentation by the author followed by a book signing. Tree is a novel focusing on the life of a California live oak over 229 years of California history, with a unique narrator: a tree. Thematically, the book provides a new perspective, ecologically-based,  on California history and explores how the lives of plants, animals and people are both practically and emotionally interdependent.

Melina Watts spoke on a panel at Los Angeles Times Book Festival this spring and has been a featured speaker at such venues as Diesel A Bookstore in Brentwood, at the Merced River Watershed Festival at Riverdance Farms and at Adventure-16 in San Diego.
