Pacific Palisades, Calif.- Will Rogers State Historic Park welcomes prospective volunteers to join the team of dedicated docents. Docents are highly trained volunteers who interpret cultural, natural and recreational features of Will Rogers for visitors. Docents become experts in local history, Western art, and, of course, Will Rogers. As a docent, you will receive initial and continuing interpretation training, conduct house tours, teach school children using hands-on education, participate in enrichment fieldtrips to local historical locations and meet the many visitors who visit Will Rogers State Historic Park.
Docent training consists of 6 consecutive Saturday sessions starting July 27th from 10am -3:30pm and continuing on 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31.
